It has been a busy start to the month for Crossing The Line Productions as they have launched a new website as well as announcing an upgrade to their slow motion Phantom Flex kit, available to hire in Ireland and internationally.

The website www.highspeedireland.com contains footage that demonstrates what the Phantom Flex is capable of shooting, as well as all the details for hiring and using the camera.

Reaching frame rates of up to 2560 frames per second at 1920 x 1080 HD resolution, the Phantom Flex was responsible for the impressive slow motion sequences in Christopher Nolan's 'Inception'.

The Phantom Flex kit available to hire in Ireland has recently been upgraded to include two Cinemags and Cinestation crucial for commercial, drama or feature film shooting as well as a number of additional extras.

Crossing the Line first began working with the Phantom technology on their award-winning RTÉ series ‘The Secret Life of the Shannon’ capturing slow motion footage of kingfishers, red squirrels and bats using the Phantom Gold and has gone on to acquire the Phantom Flex for use on their own productions as well as for hire to the Irish and worldwide industry.

The company works for the world's leading Natural History Units including the BBC, PBS & ORF as well as on numerous commercial, music video and feature film shoots.

MD of Crossing the Line Productions, John Murray said: “These cameras push the very limits of motion picture technology enabling us to capture spectacular images, that up until now were simply too fast for regular cameras to record. There are very few of these Phantom cameras available, even worldwide, and often at prohibitive rates so we're delighted to be able to bring these amazing tools to Irish film-makers at a reasonable cost.”

The company have a number of trained Phantom operators and can supply a number of extras such as data technicians or crew vehicles / support so they are now fully primed to cover all slow motion shoots at highly competitive rates.
