The third series of ‘Love/Hate’ has wrapped filming in Dublin and is now in post-production at Windmill Lane in Dublin.

Dermot Diskin at Windmill Lane has now begun editing the six-part series, which wrapped in Dublin last Friday (May 11).

Post-production on the series is being supervised by Mary Gilroy (Raw, Bachelor’s Walk) with Matt Branton (Charlie Casanova) and Dave Hughes (Albert Nobbs) working on the project as colourists. The sound post team is made up of Fiadhnait Mc Cann (Dead Meat), Fionan Higgins (Dollhouse) and Dean Jones (Lockout). Robbie O’Farrell, who worked on the first series of ‘Love/Hate,’ is the online editor.

Filming on the Octagon Films production lasted 11-weeks with the series shot on-location around Dublin. Locations used during the shoot included Donnybrook, Ballymun, Clondalkin, Tallaght, Cabra, Finglas and Castleknock.

No details on the plot of the new series are yet known although IFTN understands that the series will focus on Tom Vaughan-Lawlor’s character Nidge, who has taken over the criminal empire.

Actors Robert Sheehan (Darren), Peter Coonan (Fran), Charlie Murphy (Siobhan) and Aoibhinn McGinnity (Trish) are among a number of long-term cast members who will reprise their roles in the much-anticipated third series.

A number of new characters will also feature throughout the series with‘Titanic’ actor Jason Barry among the new additions. He will play rival inner-city crime boss, Dano.

The series was directed by David Caffrey and produced by Suzanne McAuley and Steve Matthews. James Flynn was the executive producer.

Key crew on the shoot included director of photography David Odd; costume designer Aisling Wallace Byrne; production designer Stephen Daly; make-up artist Denise Watson; production manager Anneliese O'Callaghan and first assistant director Gail Cullen.

The show is funded mainly by RTÉ with a small sales advance from ITV Global.
