Dublin based audio post facility Soundbank has been kept busy recently working on a host of commercials, television, features and short films.
Productions recently completed include ‘The Model Scouts’, which is currently being re-shown on RTÉ, the second series of bi-lingual singing competition ‘An Cór’, and TV3‘s ‘Young, Dumb and Living Off Mum’, all productions with Dublin based Sideline Productions.
Upcoming productions being posted at Soundbank include The Rubberbandits/Sideline’s short comedy clips for Channel 4’s online ‘Comedy Blaps’, which will see comedy music act The Rubberbandits star in three comedy shorts which will be available online on Channel 4 from October onwards.
Soundbank has been open for just over 18 months and have been “flat out” ever since. Founder Graham Bolger worked as a sound engineer and music producer before moving into audio post-production about five years ago. Located in Dublin 6, the Soundbank studio has full AVID Pro Tools HD systems and exceeds conventional audio post production requirement. Graham says “We wanted a comfortable space to work in and a place where we are happy to do ludicrous hours and this is what we now have. I couldn’t be happier with it.”
Other recent work includes audio post on Ireland’s answer to ‘The Hills’, ‘Fade Street’, which will return to RTE in the upcoming schedule, Straywave’s ‘Celebrity Salon’ and ongoing television work with Screentime ShinAwiL. Recent commercial clients of Soundbank include Peugeot and Associated Newspapers
Soundbank will also be donating the audio post on charity series ‘Catwalk to Kilimanjaro’, which sees four Irish models (Georgia Salpa, Daniella Moyles, Louise Johnston and Roz Purcell) climb Africa’s highest mountain to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The climb will take place in October 2011.
