Setanta Sports Pitch First 13 Live Premier League Games
13 Jul 2011 :
Setanta Sports have today confirmed their first 13 Barclay’s Premier League fixtures which will begin on Saturday August 13th at 3.00pm with Liverpool v Sunderland.
Customer Acquisition Director Brian Quinn commented on the announcement of the first thirteen fixtures saying: “The excitement really starts to build as soon as the first fixtures are confirmed and we are delighted to be showing the very first live game of the season. Liverpool v Sunderland is a great game for us to start with and for many it will be the first chance to see the new summer signings. Man United and Liverpool fans make up the bulk of our viewers so we are delighted to have seven of their games in the first few weeks and also happy that Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal are well represented among our fixtures also.”

Other confirmed fixtures to be broadcast on the Irish network include Everton v Man United, Man United v Sunderland, Man United v Newcastle and Stoke v Liverpool. Setanta hold the exclusive rights to show all the 3pm Saturday fixtures in the Republic of Ireland for the next two seasons. Setanta will show a total of 33 live Premier League Games with further fixtures to be announced later in the year.

Other Setanta Sports fixtures confirmed include all games from the Copa America live during July, pre-season friendlies featuring Barclays Premier League and Scottish Premier League teams will also be on Setanta. Setanta also broadcast live action from the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League, the League of Ireland, the Setanta Sports Cup, the Allianz Leagues, the Formula 1 World Championship, gold events including the Open Championship and the US Masters and are the only broadcaster to bring Irish viewers all 48 games from the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
