Mind the Gap Films’ ‘Halleluia Broadway’ starts on Sunday, April 4th and is based on the premise that powerful songs can bring an audience to their feet, gladden their hearts and give them something to really feel good about.
Directed by Tony Gregory (A Question of sport) and produced by Bill Hughes (Happy Birthday Oscar Wilde) and Bernadine Carragher (Celebrity Jigs ‘n’ Reels), ‘Halleluia Broadway’ sees a selection of uplifting and powerful songs from the great Broadway musicals sung in Church surroundings.
With the accompaniment of the Prague philharmonic orchestra the programme celebrates the vocal talents of Broadway’s Linda Eder (Jekyll and Hyde), Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns, tenor Rodrick Dixon, and Chicago Symphony soprano Alfreda Burke.
Director of photography is Paul Jarvis and the one-hour programme is edited by Ciara Brophy (Scope). ‘Halleluia Broadway’ will air on RTÉ 1 on Sunday, April 4th at 4.45pm.
