Sony Unveils More New Projectors for SMB & Corporate Worlds

Sony has today unveiled the second instalment of projectors in its VPL-D100 range, launching four new projectors in total.

Designed specifically to cater for the SMB and corporate markets, Sony has launched the VPL-DW125, VPL- DX145, VPL-DX125 and VPL-DW120 in addition to the two new series launched last July.

Similar to those launched in July, Sony says these new projectors combine sleek style with all necessary components for delivering sharp images to a market that demands a quality projector. They come standard with 1X RGB, 1X HDMI and Video, a 12-bit 3D digital gamma correction for images, meaning less noise and smoother gradation.

Sony promises its next generation inorganic panels help deliver higher picture quality, brighter images, better contrast, consistent colour stability and longer durability and usability.

Each projector encompasses Sony’s eco and user-friendly features, including an auto lamp dimming function, auto brightness adjustment function, eco mode and a new fine-tuned cooling system to reduce clouding of the bulb, which has extended the lamp life to approximately 7,000 hours, depending on the lamp mode selected.

The VPL – DW125, VPL – DX145, VPL – DX125 models offer both LAN and wireless capabilities. LAN allows for network presentation and control and a wireless dongle comes as standard. These projectors also include a USB display to allow content via USB, and a USB viewer, enabling images via a USB memory device (PC Less images).

In what has been a busy week for the tech company, which exhibited a range of new products at this year’s IBC 2012, as well as announcing it has signed a landmark deal with ITV to supply a range of Sony cameras, the media giant has also announced two more projectors in its education-specific VPL-E200 series.

These are the VPL-EW275 and VPL-EW245, which include a 16W high-wattage speaker, 2xRGB, HDMI, S-Video, RS-232C, RJ-45, microphone input and optional wireless capabilities.

Robert Meakin, business and education product manager at Sony Professional Solutions Europe, said of the new products: “This latest range of projectors build on the foundations we have laid in July and offer the high quality, eco-friendly features that customers have come to expect from Sony.”

The VPL-EW275, VPL-EW245, VPL-DW125, VPL- DX145, VPL-DX125 and VPL-DW120 will all be available from November 2012.
