'The Day Henry Met'

Wiggleywoo clocks up worldwide presales with their animated series.

Irish animation company Wiggleywoo Ltd has just begun production on its preschool series 'The Day Henry Met'. The series is funded by RTÉjr, The Irish Film Board, Section 481 and Creative Europe and from pre-sales, having been presold into key territories around the world including to Nick Jr. in the UK and Ireland, TVO Canada, YLE Finland and SVT Sweden.

‘The Day Henry Met’ will be premiered on RTÉjr from June 2015 with other channels set to roll out the series in the autumn. Aimed at the pre-school audience, ‘The Day Henry Met’ encourages children to use their imagination and discover the world around them through play and adventure. In every episode Henry meets something new, which becomes the focus of his journey of discovery and adventure. The Day Henry Met a Whale! The Day Henry Met the Moon!, The Day Henry Met a Knight! Hmmm, I wonder what Henry's going to meet today?

Tim Patterson of Nick Jr. says ‘“Charming and distinctive, ‘The Day Henry Met’ is s a beguiling addition to the Nick Jr. schedule and a series that we are sure will fuel the imaginations of our audiences”.

Wiggleywoo has gone from strength to strength since its inception in March 2012. Wiggleywoo are Creative Director, Gilly and Susan Broe, Producer. Their adult animated drama ‘Tea with the Dead’ will be broadcast on TG4 in 2015. Wiggleywoo has a slate of animation projects in development, kids and adult animation, a feature film and apps.

Dublin company Monster Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights and will launch the series at Kidscreen in February 2015. 26 x 5 minute episodes will be complete in June 2015.
