‘Hardy Bucks’ series director Elizabeth Gill and ‘Ros na Rún’ director Anne McCabe will direct TV3’s upcoming drama series ‘Tailor's Hill’ (working title), it has been confirmed.

As exclusively revealed on IFTN last month, ‘Tailor’s Hill’ will begin production in Spiddal on Monday June 18 , and will wrap after a four-week shoot in the Galway area.

IFTA-nominated Gill previously directed six episodes of RTÉ’s ‘Hardy Bucks’, as well as four episodes of BBC soap ‘Eastenders’. McCabe was formerly a director on long-running TG4 soap ‘Ros na Rún’, as well as Irish-language series ‘Adharca Fada’.

’Tailor’s Hill’ is a co-production between Tyrone Productions and EO Teilifís. Hugh Farrelly (Ros na Rún) will produce the six-part series, with each hour-long episode written by a different acclaimed soap opera writer. The writing talent includes ‘Fair City’ writer Paul Walker, ‘Eastenders’ scriptwriter Len Collin, and ‘The Clinic’ wordsmith Lauren Mackenzie.

Tyrone and EO Teilifís previously collaborated on award-winning TG4 drama ‘Ros na Rún’. Tyrone’s Patricia Carroll and EO Teilifís’ Máire Ní Thuathail will executive produce.

Producers are still keeping plot lines under wraps, but IFTN can reveal that the series will deliver six hour-long dramas centred on six individuals whose live all intertwine in some respect. Each episode will be told from a different character’s perspective, and will show all six characters adjusting to new environments.

Cast announcements have yet to be made, and IFTN will post the updates as soon as they come in.

Post-production on the series will be carried out at Eo Teilifís’ studios in Spiddal.
