Irish Actress Sarah Bolger (‘Once Upon A Time’) has been added to the cast of Abner Pastoll’s ‘A Good Women Is Hard to Find’, which stars Edward Hogg (‘Taboo’) and Andrew Simpson (‘Notes on a Scandal’). The film is currently shooting in Liége, Belgium after wrapping on production in Northern Ireland.
Bolger’s previous credits include AMC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’, Blumhouse’s ‘The Lazarus Effect’, Paramount’s ‘The Spiderwick Chronicles’ and more recently AMC’s ‘Into the Badlands’. Bolger is also set to star alongside J.K. Simmons in Starz new series ‘Counterpart’.
Other members of the cast include Jane Brennan (‘Brooklyn’), Packy Lee (‘Peaky Blinders’), Josh Bolt (‘Nowhere Boy’), and Caolan Byrne (“The Foreigner”). The script was written by Oscar and BAFTA nominated Ronan Blaney (‘Boogaloo and Graham’), which is set in Belfast and is due for release next year.
‘A Good Women Is Hard to Find’ is directed by Abner Pastoll who is best known for his French horror-thriller ‘Road Games’. The film follows Bolger, a young mother trying to protect her children while trying to get to the bottom of her husband’s murder.
The film is a British-Belgian co-production with Luc Roeg’s Independent handling worldwide sales on the production.
Producers on the film include Junyoung Jang (February Films), Guillaume Benski (Superbe Films), and Jean-Yves Roubin (Frakas Productions). Exec producers include Jan Pace and James Atherton (QuickFire), Billy Acumen (BA Entertainment). Northern Ireland Screen and Wallimage (Belgium) supported the project.
