Ruth Negga and Colin Farrell lead the Irish nominations for the Golden Globes, announced today.
Ruth is nominated in the Best Actress (Motion Picture, Drama) category, for her performance in ‘Loving’. Colin Farrell is nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor (Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy) category for ‘Lobster’
John Carney’s ‘Sing Street’ is nominated for Best Comedy/Musical. Sarah Jessica Parker is nominated in the Best Actress in a Drama category for her performance in Sharon Horgan’s scripted 'Divorce', which recently was re-commissioned for a second season. 'Game of Thrones', filmed in Northern Ireland, is nominated for Best TV Series (Drama).
Caitriona Balfe is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama TV Series for her performance in Starz’s ‘Outlander’. 'Kubo and the Two Strings' which is voiced by Donegal's Art Parkinson is also nominated for Best Animated Feature Film he is also known for playing Rickon Stark in 'Game of Thrones'.
