Continuing our End Of Year Post House Round-Up, we talk to Mutiny Post co-owner and MD Paul Lynch about their 2015 and what’s in store for 2016.

IFTN: What have been the highlights of 2015 for Mutiny?

Paul Lynch: ‘Our biggest highlight was the official launch of our dedicated long format facility at Pembroke Place.’

‘During 2015, Mutiny provided sound services on a wide variety of acclaimed and award winning animation, film and TV projects including; ‘Peter Rabbit’, ‘Bob the Builder’, ‘Geist’, ‘Holidays’ (with ‘Dracula Untold’ director Gary Shore), Irish feature ‘In View’, Series one of ‘Après Match of the Day’. International projects, ‘The Mysteries of Laura’, ‘Ustica - The Missing Paper’, ‘Zio Gaetano’, ‘Take Down’, ‘Slasher’ and short films including ‘The Debt’, ‘Leave’, ‘Din’ and ‘Looks Like Rain’.’

Do you have any programs in the Christmas television schedule?

‘On Irish TV; ‘Après Match Of the Day Christmas Special’. (TX TBA)

‘What’s in store for the first quarter of 2016?

‘We have a number of great projects kicking off early 2016 including two fantastic new animated series. We’re working on an IFB funded 1916 themed short ‘A terrible Hullabloo” from the very talented guys at Bowsie Workshop and in January, Peter Blayney, one of the industries most experienced and highly regarded sound engineers will be joining us on a long term project.’

Anything else of note happening at Mutiny?

‘Mutiny’s 35 seat theatre and screening room is due for completion in Spring 2016. We are really excited about that. There is already huge client interest from all sides of the industry.’

‘As well as it’s audio post production use, we will also make it available for talks, training, masterclasses and other creative opportunities.’

‘We launched a production division and have a number of exciting tv and film projects in development and have optioned a beautiful children's book which we hope to develop into a pre-school animated series with our creative partners. In February we are producing our first short live action film, with writers Des Creedon and John Kilkenny. The film will star Bryan Quinn and Conor McKenna. All in all it has been an eventful year and we are really looking forward to 2016.
