The channel will deliver a wide variety of new content across a number of key genres from Entertainment and Lifestyle to News and Factual, International Acquisitions and Sport.

Highlights of the new additions to the schedule include ‘Eamonn Mallie Meets’, ‘Grassroots’, ‘Out & About in the USA’, ‘Midlands Life’, ‘On the Road with Lisa McHugh’, ‘Beyond the Lens’, ‘Play It By Ear’, ‘Treyraud Travels’, ‘Tribute to Margo’ and ‘The Camogie Show’.

Irish TV will also air a special documentary on the Miss Ireland 2015 contestants. The cameras followed the girls for the weeks leading up to the final. The documentary will show what really goes on behind the scenes of the pageant.

Commenting at the launch, Pierce O’Reilly CEO of Irish TV, said: “Irish TV’s strategy is to broadcast local stories to a global audience. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, Irish TV is about connecting Irish communities all over the world and bolstering Irish businesses everywhere. Irish TV promotes Ireland as a wonderful place to live in, to do business and to visit. With the launch of our US office this year, our development as a broadcaster has grown on the international stage.”

“Irish TV is making great programmes with content that is relevant for both our viewers here at home in Ireland and the Irish diaspora worldwide. We already have an incredibly positive show of support and loyalty for the channel and we appreciate that loyalty from our viewers.”

“The channel, which already has a presence in 140 countries, is pouring resources into original productions. As we approach autumn 2015 and into 2016, Irish TV is aiming to keep its brand awareness on the rise with the welcome addition of many new home-produced and acquired programming in the coming months.”
