Extras Agency MovieExtras.ie will hold their annual open casting weekend on June 19th & 20th at The Gresham Hotel.
The company have recently announced that they are on board for the next seasons of ‘Ripper Street’, which begins filming in July until early 2016. This production alongside other TV programmes, films and adverts, will create thousands of opportunities for MovieExtras.ie members.
Currently MovieExtras.ie are also working with high profile productions including RTE’s historical 1916 drama ‘Rebellion’ starring Brian Gleeson, Charlie Murphy and Sarah Greene, horror movie ‘A Dark Song’, International Children’s series ‘Little Grey Fergie’ and a yet untitled movie set in Washington among many others. MovieExtras.ie members are currently used as extras and special extras in Ireland's longest running soap ‘Fair City’, where an average 500,000 viewers tune in each day and they also appear in Ireland’s newest soap ‘Red Rock’.

MovieExtras.ie have paid in excess of 10 million euro in fees to their members. Members have been involved in over 1,200 productions, with some sharing screen time with well-known actors such as Liam Neeson, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Penn, Eva Green, Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, Julianne Moore, Colin Farrell, Josh Hartnett, Cillian Murphy, Kim Catrall, Aiden Gillen and Tom Hardy. Over 800 companies and casting directors have access to the Movieextras.ie members profile and can contact them for work as an extra, model, actor or for promotional work.
All are welcome to attend the open casting weekend. The cost for an individual one year membership is €99.95 and for a special family package is €299.95 (for up to six members) and includes two professional photographs and training. There are reductions for pre paying for the shoot at MovieExtras.ie.
