brings together a diverse group of filmmakers headed up by a unique panel of Directors who will discuss the craft in a contemporary industry which deals with sophisticated audiences across multi-layered platforms, and reflecting on the core skills, craft and technique displayed by Ford the master, which are still incredibly effective in visual storytelling today. Chaired by Neasa Hardiman, panellists include Ben Wheatley, Kieron J. Walsh and Whit Stillman.
The John Ford Producers Panel will also take place on Saturday, June 7, at 2pm. The panel includes a number of key industry figures from across both the UK and Ireland. The confirmed panellists will focus on the challenges of making independent films and getting them out to the wider international market. Chairing the Panel is David Collins (Founder and Managing Director of Samson Films); panellists include Alan Moloney (Byzantium, Albert Nobbs), Laura Hastings Smith (Hunger), Andrew Reid (Head of Production, Northern Ireland Screen), James Flynn (Calvary, Penny Dreadful) and Sue Bruce Smith (Head of Commercial and Brand Strategy at Film 4).
