Ireland’s Treasure Entertainment and France’s Chic Films are currently in pre-production with ‘Wayfaring Strangers’ which will shoot later this star and will star Cillian Murphy (Perrier’s Bounty), Michael Gambon (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince) and Robert Sheehan (Cherrybomb).
‘Wayfaring Strangers’, written and directed by Stephen Bradley (Boy Eats Girl), is a World War II thriller set in occupied France. It is expected that the film will begin shooting in early autumn with locations TBC.
The feature is being co-produced by Treasure Entertainment’s Rob Walpole (I Went Down) and Rebecca O’Flanagan (The Eclipse) and Chic Films’ Lauranne Bourrachot and Marco Cherqui, the production team behind the Oscar nominated ‘A Prophet’.
The film has received €30,000 funding from the Irish Film Board.
