A professional actor for 33 years Jonathan Ryan is one of Ireland’s leading Voiceover Artists having recording thousands of Radio and TV commercials, winning national and international awards for his work in this field.
Spent two years with the RTE Radio Repertory Company and has played leading roles in all of Dublin’s major theatres, notably in Night and Day and Hamlet (Abbey); Innocence, Peer Gynt and Salomй (Gate); Bill Sikes in Oliver! (Olympia); Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace (Gaiety); Bogart in Play It Again Sam! (Eblana) and most recently on nationwide tour with Stephen King’s Misery.
Spent a season with the Lyric Theatre Belfast and appeared at the Edinburgh and Spoletto (US) Festivals with the Gate Theatre’s Salomй on tour.
TV and Film appearances include Bosco, Bracken, The Year of the French, The Irish RM, 'Die Gluckliche Familie' (SDR Germany) and 'Hochzeitreisen' (NDR Germany) Patriot Games, In The Name of the Father, Kidnapped - Sinn Fйin leader Gerry Adams in Omagh, the French Ambassador in The Tudors and most recently Camelot, Betrayal of Trust, Chasing Leprechauns, Grabbers and Game of Thrones.
Performed The Durkan Suite, accompanied by composer Bill Whelan and The London Chamber Orchestra .. and Adolf in Adolf Gebler Clarinettist composed by Roger Doyle and performed by the RTE Symphony Orchestra - both at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
