Séamus is a native of Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo and a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting.
Film and Television work includes: In the Name of the Father; Kidnapped; The Hanging Gale; Runway One; Stay Lucky; Ballykissangel.
In 2009 finished playing beleaguered Bistro owner Mike Gleeson in RTE's Fair City after 12 years.
Most recent work: The Tudors; Rásaí na Gaillimhe.
Directing Credits include: co-wrote/directed Kangaroo Rats (Dublin Theatre Festival); Othello (UCD Dramsoc); short film Tome Feenes, writer/director.
Theatre work includes: St Oscar and Seamus Heaney's The Cure at Troy with Field Day Theatre Company; Lady Windermere's Fan; Vlad Dracula; Run for Your Wife; The Field; Fontamara, adapted by Vincent Woods (Dublin Theatre Festival); The Undertaking (Dublin Theatre Festival); Burn This; Stolen Child; Speaking in Tongues. He played Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night with Classic Stage Ireland and Father in Less Than A Year with Island Theatre Company.
In 2003, Séamus completed a very successful countrywide tour of his one-man adaptation of St. Oscar (Terry Eagleton) in association with Tall Tales Theatre Company.
