London-set Irish romantic comedy ‘The Callback Queen’ is to be released in cinemas both north and south of Ireland and will be available on digital platforms including Amazon, Netflix and itunes later in September.
The film opens in The Ritz Multiplex Cookstown and Iveagh Movie Studios Banbridge on September 4th and there will be a red carpet event at Movies@Dundrum on September 11th with cast and crew in attendance. There are tickets available to the public from the Movies@ Dundrum Box Office.
Dublin filmmaker Graham Cantwell was the writer and director of the independent feature film which picked up a sales deal at Cannes earlier this Summer. His previous feature film 'Anton' also picked up International Sales at Cannes as well as landing three IFTA nominations. Cantwell, launched his directing career off the back of his Oscar shortlisted short movie 'A Dublin Story', starring 'Love/Hate's Robert Sheehan.
'The Callback Queen' stars Amy Joyce Hastings as a young Irish actress in the cutthroat London film industry, striving to land a role in an epic fantasy film, directed by Vincent Catalano (Mark Killeen).
The film also stars a host of home grown Irish talent including Hastings, Seán T. Ó Meallaigh ('Vikings'), Ger Ryan ('Intermission') and Eoin Macken (Merlin). The cinematographer of the film is Anthony Bowes while the score was composed by two-time Emmy nominated composer Joseph Conlan.
Tickets for the Red Carpet Event are on sale now. Director, Producers and Cast will be in attendance including Amy-Joyce Hastings, Seán T. Ó Meallaigh, Steve Gunn , Irma Mali and Gail Brady.
