Laoisa is originally from Limerick, Ireland, and based in NY but available to work in Ireland/Europe. Recent theater includes Long Days Journey into Night at The Guthrie, directed by Joe Dowling, For Love (also writer) Off Broadway run at the Irish Rep Theatre, directed by Tim Ruddy and Irish tour. Rebecca, Bonnie Bob at TNC, New York. The Prophet of Monto for Axis, Ballymun, which originally received it’s world premiere at 1st Irish Theater festival in NYC at The Flea Theater and was the first show in the history of 1st Irish to be transferred back to Ireland.
Laoisa won the Best Actress Award for her role as Zoe, and the play was directed both in New York and Dublin by Des Kennedy (Out of Joint Theatre Company) Other NY Theater credits include Oh The Power by David Bar Katz for Labyrinth/Barn Series, directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. American premiere of Cell by Paula Meehan, the critically acclaimed NY premiere of Ladies & Gents by Irish Arts Centre performed in the public toilets of Central Park at Bethesda Fountain. Conor Mc Pherson’s Shining City at Studio Theatre, DC directed by Joy Zinoman. Gaslight at Irish Rep Theatre, directed by Charlotte Moore. Laoisa also received rave reviews for her role as the smack hungry lap dancer, in the European premiere of Dirtyworks, directed by Kevin Kittle for Stiff Upper Lip Theatre at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival. Also, for Stiff Upper lip, Some Voices by Joe Penhall, directed by Kevin Kittle, produced by Villar-Hauser Prods. Irish/ UK theatre credits include, The Pitchfork Disney, The Hostage, Fool For Love, Abigail’s Party, An Ideal Husband, Lovers.
Independent films include: The Standard Man, The Beatle Fan, Labor Day, Blur, Final Rinse.
Short films include:The One Time, Last Stop Paradise, Right Now Ladies & Gents.
Irish TV: Irish prime time soap opera Fair City.
