Actress Lena Headey (Gossip, St Trinian’s) has reportedly been added to the cast of HBO’S ‘Game of Thrones’, which is to start shooting this October. The actress is mooted to play the unscrupulous Cersei Lannister.
Headey’s character Cersei is an incestuous queen who cheats on her husband, is in favour of murder, assassination, conspiracy and treason if it will protect her own status.
As previously reported, Lena’s co-stars will include Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Sean Bean (Eddard Stark), Mark Addy (Robert Baratheon), Kit Harrington (Snow) , Jennifer Ehle (Catelyn Stark), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and Harry Lloyd (Viserys Targaryen).
Directed by Tom Mc Carthy, David Benioff and D.B Weiss, who wrote the screenplay are executive producing, whilst Mark Huffam, from Northern Ireland based Generator Entertainment, will be producing the adaptation of the George R.R. Martin fantasy-book series with Frank Doelger (Rome).
