British actor Clive Owen (Children of Men, Closer) is set to attend The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival next month. The ‘Sin City’ actor will participate in the festival’s Graphic Novel event taking place on Tuesday 17 February 2009.
Owen will be the inaugural guest of the Jameson Film Experience, where he will be interviewed by the editor of Empire Magazine, Mark Dinning, at The Academy, Tuesday, 17th February, in an event MC’d by MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, and with DJ Yoda on the decks. The theme for this experiential event is the Graphic Novel genre of films and Owen and Dinning will discuss Clive’s performance in graphic novel classic ‘Sin City’. Building on the graphic novel theme, the one man band Rarely Seen Above Ground will perform. Graffiti artist Maser is producing exclusive pieces for the event.
Other confirmed elements of the programme, which will be unveiled in full on Monday 26th January, include Cannes' Palme D'Or winner 'The Class' and the highly anticipated Irish animated film 'The Secret of Kells' by Irish animators Cartoon Saloon.
