Top Boy, written by Northern Irish writer Ronan Bennett, won the BAFTA TV Award for Drama Series. The awards ceremony took place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, May 12th.
Top Boy, the most recent season of which starred Barry Keoghan and Brian Gleeson, won the BAFTA TV Award for Drama Series. The series is written by Northern Irish writer Ronan Bennett. Éanna Hardwicke was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for The Sixth Commandment, which received the award for Best Limited Series and saw Timothy Spall win Best Leading Actor for his performance in the series.
Other Irish nominees included Sharon Horgan for Best Leading Actress, Róisín Gallagher and Máiréad Tyers for Best Female Performance in a Comedy, Emma Moran for Best Scripted Comedy, and Graham Norton for Best Entertainment Performance.
