“The Applied Art of Acting is a comprehensive and practical stage and screen acting program for actors looking for time efficient and highly intensive training. It’s deeply transformative.”

The application process:

Application is by audition and interview. Applicants should prepare one monologue from any stage play (not film and not self-written). Auditions are relaxed and always one-to-one. International students are welcome to audition by Skype.

Based in Dublin, Scott’s course trains actors in both stage and screen performance and there is no upper age limit for applicants and actors in their fifties and sixties have successfully completed the course.

David has infused 25 years of actor-training research and development into a cutting-edge technique that opens up the creative powers of the actor in new and incredibly effective ways. The course thoroughly covers both stage and screen performance including audition and screen-test technique. Vocal and physical training is included alongside the learning of the Technique.

The Applied Art of Acting treats acting as a fine art and the students within the course as artists. The course will suit professionals, aspiring professionals and highly committed amateur actors competing on amateur circuits.
