Ronan and Rob Burke’s project is one of 12 titles selected for the market, which is currently underway in the Netherlands.
Titles in the market will also be joined by twelve titles selected for the inaugural Boost NL programme, which is a collaboration between the Holland Film Meeting and Cinemart.
‘Bags and Trev get Dates for the Debs’ is written by Gavin Burke produced by John Wallace (Dollhouse, King of the Travellers) of Black Sheep Productions, and received €13,000 in Development funding from the Irish Film Board in Q1 2015.
Rob and Ronan Burke have co-directed ‘Standby’, also produced by John Wallace in 2014. The pair also co-directed short films ‘Jellybaby’ (2005) and ‘Runners’ (2009). The first received several prestigious awards at home and abroad, and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2005 IFTA Awards. The latter was awarded the title of Best Short from the Irish Film & Television Academy in 2010.
The market runs from September 22nd-25th and will also see titles presented from the UK, Serbia, Croatia, Russia, Germany and Spain among others.
