Hosted by Ray D’Arcy, ‘School Around The Corner’ returns this Sunday, May 11, on RTÉ One at 6.30pm.
The Tyrone Productions 6 x 30” series was filmed in TV3 studios with studio director John FD Northover (Una’s Dream Ticket, Getaways) and produced by Kate O’Hara (The Craig Doyle Show, The Lie). The upcoming season is expected to feature a host of schoolchildren from around the country as well as Irish celebrities who take a trip down memory lane to visit their old schools. Among those who will be featured include Mario Rosenstock (Waterpark National School, Waterford), Laura Whitmore (Loreto Secondary School, Bray), Eamon Dunphy (St Patrick’s Boys’ National School, Drumcondra), Rachel Allen (Alexandra College, Milltown), Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh (Scoil Ui Ghramhnaigh, Rath Cairn) and Donncha O’Callaghan (Scoil on Spioraid Naoimh, Cork).
VT producers and directors on the series were Pete Killane, Ross Whitaker and Paul Golding. Noleen Golding (The All Ireland Talent Show, The Speech, Music Inc) acted as executive producer and Ciara Brophy as editor. Set design was carried out by Anita Barrett, David Hayes was the musical director and post-production was done at Screenscene.
