Irish short film ‘Of Best Intentions’, directed by Brian Durnin and produced by Paul Holmes, has scooped Best International Short at the Raindance Film Festival in London. This film tells the story of five characters whose well-intentioned actions all incur disastrous consequences. This film was produced by Red Rage Films as part of the 2008 Irish Film Board’s Short Cuts.
The IFTA nominated film will next screen this month at the La Boca de Lobo Festival in Madrid followed by a screening at the Interfilm Festival in Berlin in November.

The Irish Film Institute will be hosting a special screening of musical short films on Tuesday 13th October at 6.30pm including the Short Short films which premiered at the Galway Fleadh.
Short films screening include David O'Sullivan's ‘Moore Street Masala’, the first indigenous Bollywood film to be produced in Ireland. This short love story was filmed in Dublin earlier this year which features members of the public taking part in the film’s typical Bollywood dance finale.
The line-up also includes the Short Shorts ‘A Clown’s Requiem’, directed by Jason Forde (Never Judge a Book); ‘Dental Breakdown’, directed by Ian Power and ‘Mr. Foley’ directed by Daddy and produced by Mary McCarthy – whose previous producing credits include the Oscar winning ‘Six Shooter’.
The IFB funded musical shorts will screen on Tuesday 13th October at 6.30pm in the IFI.
