IFTA winning actor Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds, Hunger, 300) will be the subject of the 21st Galway Film Fleadh’s Actors Masterclass. The FSTI training event, taking place on July 11, will be facilitated by casting agents Ros Hubbard and Mary Maguire.

The Masterclass, in association with Fás Screen Training Ireland, is open to all aspiring and budding actors and those interested should submit a CV to Mary Deely in the Galway Film Centre, Cluain Mhuire, Monivea Road, Galway. The Fleadh is set to pay tribute to Fassbender in their 2009 programme. Two of his recent projects, ‘Inglourious Basterds’, directed by Quentin Tarantino and ‘Fish Tank’, directed by Andrea Arnold, premiered to critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Earlier this year, Fassbender received the IFTA for Best Actor for his role in Steve McQueen's feature ‘Hunger’.

Fassbender’s other screen credits include roles in ‘Band of Brothers’, ‘Murphy’s Law’ and Francois Ozon’s ‘Angel’. As part of the Fleadh’s tribute to Michael Fassbender, ‘Hunger ‘will screen on Friday July 10th.
