Teen Irish actress Jenn Murray has landed a starring role in BBC One’s latest drama ‘The Day Of The Triffids’ alongside screen veterans Vanessa Redgrave (Julia, Howard’s End), Dougray Scott (Mission Impossible II, Desperate Houswives) and Joley Richardson (Nip/Tuck).
‘The Day Of The Triffids’ is adapted by Patrick Harbinson (ER, Law & Order), who has created a fast paced, futuristic and electrifying take on John Wyndham's 1951 novel, creating an unmissable television event.
Belfast born Jenn is currently filming scenes for the two part 90 minute drama in the UK. The actress' breakout performance in the Irish drama ‘Dorothy’ earned her an IFTA nomination in the Best Actress in a Lead Role Film category – the winner of which will be announced at the ceremony on February 14th. Murray is up against two other young Irish starlets Saoirse Ronan and Kelly O’Neill for the top gong.
