Mind the Gap Films is seeking participants to spend a week in the Connemara Gaeltacht for new RTE reality series ‘An Bhfuil Cead Agam?’
The four part series will see a group of five men and five women spend a week amongst dozens of teenagers in Colaiste Chiaran, Connemara. The group will be filmed 24 /7 as they work out shower rotas, dance at nightly Ceili’s and try survive the strict regime of the Bean an Ti while they brush up their Irish language skills.
The ten will have to abide the same rules as the secondary school students alongside them - no alcohol, no cigarettes, no mobile phones and no speaking English. The series will film this summer from the 5th-13th July.
“We will be setting up a type of ‘diary room’ with an unmanned camera where the participants will be able to go to spill their thoughts at night,” said Cliona Ni Cheirin, researcher on ‘An Bhfuil Cead Agam?’ “This will be the only place they can speak English.”
