TG4 is on the search for undiscovered Irish singing talent for its upcoming show ‘Nollaig No.1’, which will see one lucky winner record a single, a music video and aim for the Christmas No. 1. slot in the Irish charts this December.
Produced by Adare Productions, ‘Nollaig No. 1’ is looking for bands, singers and groups to try out for the series, with auditions taking place at various venues across the country in the coming weeks.
“There is no age limit on people who can audition, we are looking for talent aged 8-80,” said Fiona Ni Cheirin of Adare Productions. “The winner will be chosen by a panel of three judges and the winner’s single will either be in the Irish language, or bi-lingual.”
‘Nollaig No. 1’ is a thirteen episode series, with the first ten episodes recorded in front of a studio audience and judging panel in RTÉ studios, Dublin on various dates from June 11th – 20th. The quarter-final will film on October 5th, the semi-final on 19th October and grand finale on 2nd November, with the series kicking off on TG4 this September.
Interested singers, bands and groups should log on to www.tg4.ie to fill out the application form or call 1512 71 72 17 and leave contact details. All calls cost 25cents.
