TVI Actors Workshop Comes to Dublin

10 Mar 2008 |

Alan Nusbaum, founder and CEO of TVI Actors Studio, is set to give a presentation to teach Irish actors the skills they need to market themselves in America at Filmbase on Sunday April 6th, 2008.

Nusbaum will give a multi-media interactive presentation entitled ‘The Business of Acting in America – An International Actor’s Guide to Working in New York and Los Angeles’. Nusbaum formerly worked as a talent agent representing both Hollywood and New York actors including Sandra Bullock (Crash, Miss Congeniality), Courtney Cox (Friends, Dirt), Jerry Orbach (Law and Order) and Tonya Pinkens (All My Children, Enchanted).

TVI Actors Studio is an acting school and resource centre for actors with studios in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.

“There was a clear need for actors to learn how to manage their careers,” said Nusbaum. “I encourage actors to treat an acting career like a business and market themselves where the work exists.”

Nusbaum writes a daily blog on the acting business at www.actor-preneur.com.

The presentation costs €45 and takes place from 12.00-4.00pm (registration at 11.30 am) at Filmbase, Curved Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
