MIPTV: Tile Films bringing slate of projects to Cannes Market

‘After Braveheart’ is just one of the shows that Tile Films will be bringing to MIPTV 2015
IFTN is continuing its’ coverage of MIPTV, the world’s entertainment content Market that takes place this week, with news of what Tile Films is bringing to the masses in Cannes.

Tile Films is an Irish television production company that specialises in high-end, entertaining and informative documentaries on history, religion, archaeology, culture and people.

Past productions of Tile Films include ‘Saving the Titanic’, ‘Clear the Way’, ‘Cromwell in Ireland’ and ‘Decoding Christianity’.

The principal productions Tile Films will be bringing to MIPTV 2015 include:

  • ‘Waterloo’s Warriors’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Due for Delivery May/June 2015)
  • ‘Sacred Sites of the World’ - 6 x 1 hour HD documentary series (Episode 1 Completed June 2014/ Further five episodes due for delivery in 2016)
  • ‘Death or Liberty’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Due for Delivery June 2015)
  • ‘After Braveheart’ - 2 x 1 hour HD docudrama series (Completed 2014)
  • ‘In the Name of the Republic’ - 2 x 45min HD Documentary Series (Completed 2013)
  • ‘Who Lived In My House’ - 18 x 25min HD Documentary Series (Completed 2012)

Representing Tile Films at the Market in Cannes are Managing Director, Stephen Rooke, and head of development, David Ryan.

Speaking about the Market, MD Stephen Rooke said: ‘I've been to many MIPTVs and MIPCOM festivals over the years and I've always found these markets to be really fruitful in terms of forging partnerships with broadcasters, co-producers and distributors. In fact, four of the principal projects we're bringing to MIPTV - Waterloo's Warriors, Sacred Sites of the World, Death or Liberty and After Braveheart - all grew out of meetings and informal conversations that we had at previous MIPs.’
