07 Mar 2014 : Deirdre Molumby
The official trailer for Lenny Abrahamson’s highly anticipated third feature, ‘Frank’, has been released. The comedy is about a young wannabe musician played by Domhnall Glesson who joins a band of eccentric musicians led by the mysterious Frank (Michael Fassbender).

‘Frank’ is an Element Pictures/Runaway Fridge production for Film4, BFI, Protagonist Pictures and the Irish Film Board. ‘Frank’ was produced by Ed Guiney, David Barron and Stevie Lee, with executive producers Tessa Ross, Katherine Butler, Andrew Lowe and Nigel Williams.

The film is written by Jon Ronson (‘The Men Who Stare At Goats’) and Peter Straughan (‘Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’, ‘The Men Who Stare At Goats’). Music is by Stephen Rennicks and the feature co-stars Maggie Gyllenhaal (‘The Dark Knight’).

‘Frank’ has screened at a number of prestigious international film festivals including Sundance and Berlinale, the former at which the US distribution rights were attained by Magnolia Pictures. It will next screen at South by South West in Austin, Texas.

‘Frank’ will be released by Element Distribution in Ireland in May of this year.
