Straywave's Celebrity Salon returns to TV3 for its second series Monday 6th June at 9.30pm. Directed by David Coffey (Fade Street) and produced by John Norton and Steve McCormack of Straywave.
Celebrity Salon follows five celebrities as they are taught various beauty skills and treatments while competing against each other to impress a series of judges, each celeb hoping to win 'Best in Beauty'.
Director David Coffey commented on his experience shooting the programme saying "It was one of the most fun shows I've done. It was a 12 day shoot which was very quick and the celebrities were great. They did anything we asked of them." David also commented on what he called a "quick editing process" and said it meant the show had a very "quick turn around". The series was edited in Screenscene.
The celebrities taking part in the second series are Rosanna Davidson, Calum Best, Georgia Salpa, Abi Titmuss, Alan Hughes and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace. The series which begins on Monday 6th June at 9.30pm will have the celebrities learning skills such as waxing and vajazzling. The celebs had their own salon which opened its doors to members of the public during filming. Director of photography for the show is Vincent Gallagher (Young Dumb and Living off Mum).
TV3's Director of Programming, Ben Frow commented on the show saying it will be "hotter than ever. With six brand new celebrities it guarantees excellent viewing." The first episode will air on Monday 6th June at 9.30pm.
