Agus Coir’, a new Irish & English language series from Midas Productions that charts the history of the death penalty in Ireland begins screening on TG4 on Thursday the 19th of January at 10.30pm.
The six-part series starts with the story of Annie Walsh, the Limerick woman who was hanged by the state in 1925. The series is directed by Rosie Nic Cionnaith, produced by Peter Moore and executive produced by Mike Keane at Midas Productions for TG4.
Shot in Ireland over six months, the series uses documentary, drama recreations, interviews and archival footage to piece together some important chapters in Irish criminal history.
